Candle care

Coconut wax burns differently from other types of candle wax. We make our own blends in-house, and go through rounds of testing to find the right essential oils, containers and wicks for a great coconut wax candle. Please refer to our care instructions to help your Plural Supply candles burn at their best!

1. The first time you burn each candle, light it for at least 2 hours, until the wax pool meets the edge of the jar.

2. Trim the wick to about 0.5cm before each burn.

3. Avoid leaving your candle burning for more than 4 hours at a time.

4. Keep your candle covered when it’s not burning to help the scent last longer.

Soap care

Natural bar soap contains glycerine, which can make them less long-lasting in humid environments or climates. Here’s what we recommend to keep your Plural Supply soaps at their best for a longer time.

  • Store your bar on a soap dish with adequate drainage. If you’re looking for a natural soap dish, try our biodegradable loofah dish or sandstone soap dish.

The glycerine in natural bar soaps attract water droplets. If you see a translucent layer of soap gel forming on the surface of your soap, this means it has had prolonged contact with water. Using your bar of soap at this stage will make your bar of soap disappear quickly, so let it first dry out in a cool and dry spot for a few days before using it again. It’s best to dry your soap immediately after use by putting it in an area away from water.

  • We store our soaps in a dehumidified environment to ensure that they last longer. Due to the naturally humid climate in Singapore, natural soaps may not keep as well in your home.

To experience them at their best, use your soaps within 2 months of receiving them.

  • If you have any soap bars that are not currently in use, store them in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight.
